Mewsette Cartwright
Mewsette Cartwright has been teaching the arts for 17 years now since 2006. She began as a yoga (YogaFIt) instructor, then taught Zumba for several years. Later, she found her passion in teaching Ballroom Dance in 2009 (DVIDA). Having taught several residents of Marshall County, Kosciusko County and now Starke County. She has also served as the dance director of Plymouth Dancing with the Stars 2010-2022. Mewsette is also certified in Acrobatic Arts and CPR certified that compliments her yoga and dance classes.

Mewsette is a Hombu 5th Dan Shihan of Juko Kai International under her Soke Rod Sacharnoski. See our martial arts page for more information on classes. The types of arts taught are: Shorinji Chikara-Ken Karate Jutsu, Aiki Inyo Toho (Sword Arts) and Goshin Jutsu.

Shihan Mewsette Cartwright holds 4th degree Dan in Juko Ryu Aiki Inyo Menkyo Toho Okuden, 1st degree Shorinji Chikara ken karatejutsu, and 1st degree Goshinjutsu graded by Dai- Soke, 12th Dan Rod Sacharnoski president/Headmaster, Juko-Kai International. Sensei Cartwright also holds Kyu ranks in Toide and Sai-Jutsu. Our Shihan is also a certified Ballroom, Latin & Swing instructor (DVIDA), certified Acrobatic Arts instructor, YTT 200hr Yoga instructor. She is a retired personal trainer and Zumba instructor. She and her husband have three adult children and are passionate about the safety of all humanity. May we all learn to care for each other with health and well-being amongst each other.
